Why Coaching?
Coaching is unlike any other form of professional development, and, in my opinion, is the one that focuses on getting shit done. I have long been a proponent of mentoring and training, and while those are valuable services, neither have the razor-focus on moving the needle forward, showing measurable change, valuing introspection, and emphasizing the value of your unique situation and the unique set of factors surrounding your life and your goals.
Mentoring, while valuable, is about imparting past wisdom, cautionary tales, and real-life experience and examples.
Training is often generic and is focused on a broad audience with little attention to the finer and critical details surrounding your life.
Through coaching we take a holistic view of the details that are shaping your world and your perspectives. Consider what success is to you, and map a path to your goal which considers your values, the cultures you exist in, and provides accountability to the steps that you take. This is your world, your career, your life - You must define what success is, and I, as a coach, am here to help you interpret and explore that world. Along your path I help you stay on track and navigate speed bumps and changes in the landscape.

About
Hello and welcome!
I am IT Coach Mike Czarnecki.
After decades in the IT industry, moving in and out of various technical and leadership positions, I was introduced to a transformational leadership coach. Working with a coach changed my life and made me realize that my love of people and personal accomplishment could be more than a task that I was expected to do off the side of my desk in between all of the other arguably-meaningless bullshit I was tasked with. The lack of focus on people in corporate management is both shortsighted and baffling to me. All too often a company’s focus on “employee growth” is nothing more than lip-service, so I decided to make it my career. My experience in large, medium, and small business, in IC and leadership roles, FTE and consultant, employee and business owner over nearly 30 years has given me the perspective and experience I need to coach IT professionals in all phases of their careers. I have completed over 100 hours of formal, focused, training and mentoring by ICF Master Coaches and have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours coaching clients, colleagues, and my own staff to meet their ambitious goals in life and business. I hold a Bachelor of Science, Business Management degree from Western Governors University in Columbus, OH and hold multiple IT certifications. In 2023 I decided to narrow my coaching focus to give best-in-class service to a community which I have had the privilege of being a part of for my entire professional career.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones, playing video games, collecting and modding classic consoles, performing and teaching improv, and building PCs.
